dabbling in photography....

I love taking pictures, but unfortunately I am not that good. I was really flattered (and surprised) when my husbands cousin asking me to take her engagement pix. Since I am mostly out of town these days, timing wasn't that great and we had to take them monday afternoon when the lighting really isn't perfect...but after a little photoshopping I am actually thinking these turned out ok...

I am a SECOND Time Marathon finisher!!! woOt woOt

On the bus heading up Ogden canyon... It is an interesting trip because we love heading up hill but when the bus heads down my heart sinks because I know in a few hours I will have to be running uphill...eekk.Paul's ready...warming up by the fire (yes -- we are just a bunch of homeless peeps)STRETCHESsupporting little MareBear...we are SUPERSTARS!
The big crowd is off..a typical marathon outhouse...

This old guy and I swapped cameras so that we could take pictures of each other running. This is on mile 16 right before the throwing up episodes started...
Paul, Cody and I all ran together for 25.2 miles and by that time Paul got frustrated with my throwing up ( i accidently hit him once) and sprint off with out us.
The Frandsen marathon runners! How cool are we?! So I was thinking about it and I think that possibly I am the first frandsen to ever run a marathon. Pretty darn cool if I do so say myself! And even cooler that Paul, Mindy, Cody and I can all run together!

GROSS... i know but this is all part of the adventure. I have about 5 "code browns" on the way home to IF. Cody and I have gotten very good at the pull-over-on-the-side-of-the-highway thing.

Mother's Day -Tribute to the Best!

She is beautiful,
she smiles easily and laughs a lot.
She loves everyone and has the capability to make anyone feel comfortable.

She is always supportive and knows when it's ok to cry.

She is a teacher who knows how to do everything and is very patient.

She taught me how to sew, cook, clean, smile, pray,, study, work hard, be enthusiastic, trust and rely on the Lord, write calligraphy, tie quilts, talk, walk, appreciate beauty,

crochet, create and love. From her I know the art of obedience.
She works hard from dawn to dusk and never complains.
She loves to garden and watch things grow.
She is always willing to try anything and always willing to play.
She has a strong faith. She knows that God and Jesus play an extremely huge part in out lives and knows that they know more than we do. Even thought life doesn't always go the way she would prefer she has faith that things will work out.
She is an amazing grandma.

She is especially fun after 10:00 pm. :) She loves games !
Her dogs are her best friends.

She loves cookies and believes that after school snacks are necessary for happiness! (mmm...)
She helps out her family in anyway possible and is always serving us. She will drop anything to spend an hour drawing with me.
SHE GIVES THE BEST HUGS!
Mommy, I really appreciate everything that you do and I hope to turn out exactly like you!!!!

In preperation for conference...

I got an email telling me to watch this video and I loved it! I think it is quite the testament of our Savior and the pictures go along with my favorite hymn. I was crying in my office watching it at 11pm and a custodial guy came in...i think he was a little confused :~ I just think this will help bring in the right spirit for conference!

BEAR Denning 2008

Day 2
Note: this post is a work in progress..it takes a long time to upload all these pixs....

DAY3

Today was a little bit different then yesterday...instead of 60 degree sunny weather we had freezing windy stormy action. The six of us left to find RosyFinch's den: Hal, Janene, Josh, Steve, Wade, and me.

On the top of San Arollo Ridge, we could only see about 50 ft ahead.
I was so cold that when we stopped I huddled up next to the snowmobile in hopes it would block some of the wind.
Hal thinks this looks like a picture on the top of Mt Everest all we need to do is substitute the snowmobile for an American flag. An icicle was forming on Hal's noseI didn't bring any goggles...BIG MISTAKE! It felt like every snowflake was a shard of glass...I don't think I will make that mistake again.

Hal and Megan ended up good friends...PostDoc?
Frozen eyelashes!
