Great Grandpa Anderson...100 years today...

This is Mykita's great grandpa Anderson. He would have been 100 today. I was talking about him with my BFF today and didn't realize it was his birthday until talking to my mom, I was talking about how he used to interlock his fingers and hold them upside down and make us practice milking cows. A few months ago at Wheeler farm I got to try my hand at milking and I was actually ok, which I attribute to his lessons. I don't remember him ever having cows but I do remeber gathering eggs from the chicken coop and petting the lambs. They lived on this beautiful lot in Vernal, UT. My grandmother had tons of beautiful flowers and their yard always won a lot of prices. My grandpa was a wonderful singer. He would sing me all sorts of songs as I sat on his lap and teach me the words. At night we would always watch Lawrence Welk together. My grandmother and him liked to dance too. They did a lot of square dancing and were really good. They were both really active and always involved in a lot of things. I remember him taking the boys out to make slingshots. We would walk around checking out all of the trees looking for the perfect "V" branch. He loved to tell stories. I loved cuddling up on his lap and listening to him talk. His favorite story was about his horse Tony. We had these super awesome family reunion shirts made one year that had grandpa on his horse. The other thing he talked about was he made sure we all knew how to give a good handshake- non of that limp fish hand shake stuff. We had to get in deep and give a solid shake. Anyway my amazing daughter just dumped soda all over my lab and computer---thanks Mykita....the generations go on...

Yo Cam,

I like it when you write. I know you say you just post pictures because you don't like to write, but you should do it more often.
